About the role

Distinct from our volunteer Legal & Rights Observers doing ground-level research — this is a senior advisory seat for a lawyer who can sanity-check the platform's public claims, campaign framing and objection tools before they go out.

What you'll do

Review campaign, fundraising and objection-tool copy for legal exposure
Advise on advertising standards, planning consent and public-space rights across jurisdictions
Support the Legal & Rights Observer network with senior guidance
Flag risk early, in plain language, before it becomes a problem

What we're looking for

Qualified lawyer — advertising, planning, media or public-interest law
Comfortable advising a nonprofit civic platform, not a corporate client
Precision without slowing the movement down
